Boise District Educator Receives Prestigious National Teaching Award

This is the image for the news article titled Boise District Educator Receives Prestigious National Teaching AwardGarfield Elementary School 5th Grade Teacher Sonia Galaviz is one of only five recipients nationwide to win the 2017 Horace Mann Award for Teaching Excellence. She was very surprised when she received recognition for earning the national award during a state teaching workshop held October 6th at Timberline High School. Galaviz will travel to Washington, D.C. in February to formally receive the award and $10,000 at the National Education Association's Foundation Gala. Click here to learn more.
