What is the Career Center Newsletter?

These newsletters will provide information to help students with their career development by highlighting resources and events! All students and families are welcome to utilize the Career Center. To connect with Ms. Porchia, the College and Career Counselor, email, call, stop by, or students can request an appointment using the QR codes around the school.

SENIORS

Senior Presentations in English Class: August 24-27 discussed senior year timeline, career options, and college and scholarship application process. View the presentation HERE.
Future Options Fair Field Trip to DTEC: September 15, 10:30 am-12 pm, all Seniors will bus to DTEC to attend the Future Options Fair to explore career opportunities and connect with employers! See who will be there!
Senior Parent's College & Career Planning Night: September 16, at 6 pm in Borah's Little Theater. Share your interest and questions with this form!
Apply Idaho in English Class: October 12-15 seniors will have the chance to apply to Idaho Colleges & Scholarships using Apply Idaho application and Scholarship Idaho Application.
FAFSA: The 2027-28 FAFSA Application opens October 1! While families are able to complete it on their own, support will also be given at Borah. Date and time will be shared once it is set.

JUNIORS

Junior Presentations in English Class: September 21-23
National College Fair Field Trip: September 29, all juniors and AVID students will bus to the Expo Idaho to participate in a College Fair! Watch this video to get an idea of what a student experiences!
PSAT DAY: October 21, all sophomores and juniors will take the PSAT at Borah.
